Program Description/Services

FUEL ASSISTANCE (LIHEAP): Eligible households in 37 communities receive assistance paid directly to their heating vendor. The program is designed to help low-income people afford the cost of heat in the winter months. Eligibility is based on gross annual income and family size.

Weatherization Services

Take a Virtual Energy Assessment of Your Home


Apply for the Enhanced Incentive program to receive insulation and weatherization services through Mass Save. You must have a site id # from Mass Save to apply. If you were referred to SMOC Fuel Assistance because you are on the discount rate or because you are low income, please contact us to apply as a summer application at 508-620-2342.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities are available by contacting your local Senior Center or area Council on Aging and ask to become a Fuel Assistance intake volunteer.
